Medium urn

The high-quality medium-sized WURN, crafted by skilled artisans on the island of Saaremaa, is made entirely from 100% sheep’s wool felt and solid oak wood. Its form and design are distinctive and original, reflecting a balance of Nordic simplicity and craftsmanship. Both felt and oak are durable, natural materials that provide strength while remaining gentle to the touch. This environmentally responsible urn allows the deceased to return to nature, whether laid to rest in the earth or placed in water.

The medium-sized WURNs are available in three natural shades: grey, brown, and white.

The urn can be opened and closed without the use of special tools, ensuring a safe and dignified handling experience.

The WURN supports all cremation rituals and is suitable for use as a memorial urn, for burial, or for the scattering of ashes. When used as a memorial urn without burial, it retains its form for a long period. Following an ash-scattering ritual, the urn may be buried in the ground, where it will decompose naturally and relatively quickly. Burial cords can be fitted to the urn upon request.

The amount of cremated remains depends on bone mass and bone density, which develop over the course of a lifetime. It cannot be determined on the basis of body weight alone; however, an approximate volume may be calculated using the following guideline: 1 kg of body weight produces, on average, 0.04 litres of cremated remains.
The capacity of the medium WURN is 2 litres.
